We recently found out from an official Microgaming press release that Microgaming will be releasing a brand new online slot machine in August 2015 called Bridesmaids after once again teaming up with Universal Partnerships & Licensing. This new slot will end up in several top UK online casinos such as Roxy Palace Casino, Betway Casino and 32Red Casino, and also over Microgaming’s non-downloadable Quickfire platform at sites like Mr Green Casino, bgo Vegas and Casino Euro.
This new slot is based on the 2011 Universal Pictures comedy movie of the same name which starred Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy and Rebel Wilson, all of which appear on the reels as regular symbols. This new slot will have 5 reels and 40 winning paylines, it will feature cinematic clips from the actual movie and it will arrive across all of Microgaming’s innovative platforms, including their mobile casino platform which is called Microgaming Go.
“Bridesmaids is a comedy classic! The storyline, characters and genuinely hilarious stand-out scenes combine to make it one of the most successful comedy films of all time,” said the Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever. He then went on to say, “We’re thrilled to have signed another licensing agreement with Universal. Furthermore, the brand adds a completely new dimension to our branded game portfolio – we’re excited for its launch later in the year.” These words came from Microgaming’s official website.
Microgaming was also pleased to announce that it has been ten years since it launched another branded slot called Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. “The Tomb Raider brand is instantly recognisable, so when we signed the licensing agreement back in 2004, we were incredibly excited. As the industry’s first branded slot, we knew the game would be popular; it has now become a Microgaming classic,” said Raatgever.
Microgaming’s other most famous branded slot machines include titles such as Tomb Raider – Secret of the Sword (aka Tomb Raider 2), Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Playboy, Hitman, Hellboy, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Jurassic Park and Terminator 2. All of these branded Microgaming slots are now widely available and apart from The Dark Knight (which is only available in the real money mode) all of the others are available in the free play mode as well.
