Microgaming announced on February 4th 2013 that it had signed an agreement with HBO Global Licensing to develop online slots based on the hit TV series, Game of Thrones. This Golden-Globe-nominated show is based on the best-selling series of novels, ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’, which was written by George R.R Martin.

Microgaming’s CEO, Roger Raatgever, said, “We are incredibly excited to have signed a licensing agreement for Game of Thrones, a highly relevant and extremely popular show.” He then added, “We plan on taking all of the features of the small screen fantasy epic to create a masterpiece of a slot.
