After it’s first round of public investment, mobile phone gaming company Cometa Wireless, has announced that they have raised 1 million pounds. The funding came from a number of different investors, with Mfusion (an already successful mobile phone gambling enterprise) as their top investor.
The newly re-branded Cometa Wireless Gaming Systems was developed in 2004 by Robert Anderson, who had a vision to create a service that exploited the massive ever growing demand for casino style games worldwide.
The Sheffield based Company runs their service on Arcadia ™ technologies that was also developed by Cometa. The plan is for the technologies to run a number of casino style games, with a high performance and responsiveness, on the average customers mobile phone and mobile network.
The service, that will be available in real time, will offer a secure and realistic casino atmosphere that features favorite casino games such as, Blackjack, Roulette, Bingo and Slot games.
“We are delighted to welcome Mobile Fusion into Cometa Wireless. Their commercial experience and knowledge of the gaming and mobile phone communications industry will be crucial in our next phase of growth”, exclaims Anderson.
And crucial it seems to be, as Cometa is currently projecteing a massive increase in profits as a result of the investment. They forecast that their revenues will grow from this years £250,000 revenue to a much larger £6,800,000 in 2011.
