Captain Venture looks good; it doesn't have the classy looks of some of the other Novomatic slots but has a reasonably good interface with the ocean as the background on which the reels are positioned. The symbols in the game include a schooner, a pirate captain, an anchor, a map, a pretty woman, and the numbers 9, 10, J, Q, K and A from a standard card deck. The wild symbol is Captain Venture while the scatter is the ship's wheel symbol. The wild symbol replaces all other symbols except the scatter for wins.
